Hi, I am April Ludwig – A NJ Portrait Photographer
I am a Professional Portrait Photographer based in Bound Brook, NJ (right outside of Bridgewater, NJ) who serves all of Somerset County NJ. Whether you have just found out you’re having a child (or adopting, or fostering!), or if your children are fully grown – they won’t remain this age forever. So, you need a photographer you can trust to capture this season of your life so that you can hold onto these moments forever.

Don’t let your photos waste away electronically…
Sure, digital files are great, and you’ll definitely have them from our session – but they aren’t archival. You’re not likely to go thumbing through social media with your children looking at family photos. Preserving your images in an album will ensure they are looked at time and time again.
However, I know how much time and effort it takes to create an album. The good news is, you don’t have to! If your session includes an album + all of the digital files from your session. And the BEST news?? I custom design every album for my clients so all you need to to is pick your favorite images and your cover. That’s it!!
An album is the perfect way to make sure your family gets to enjoy the images from their session now and decades from now. Printed on archival materials, your great, great grandkids will be able to look back on these photos. How wonderful is that?!

Then, within 3 weeks you will receive a professionally edited viewing gallery of the images from our time together. You will select your included digital images and use your included print credit.

Q: What types of portrait sessions do you offer?
A: I specialize in maternity, newborn, children, and family portrait sessions, as well as professional headshots. I also offer mini sessions and seasonal Santa sessions throughout the year.
Q: Where are you located?
A: My portrait studio is located at 415 W. 2nd Street in Bound Brook, NJ, conveniently located just minutes from Bridgewater, Somerville, and Warren.

A: The first step is scheduling a free consultation! It’s a quick, easy chat where I walk you through my process and pricing so you can decide if I’m the right photographer for your family. Q: How far in advance should I book my session?
A: I recommend booking as early as possible, especially for newborn sessions which are best done within the first 2 weeks of birth. Maternity sessions are typically scheduled between 28-34 weeks of pregnancy.

A: My sessions are fun, relaxed, and stress-free! I guide you every step of the way — from planning your session to designing your final album — so all you have to do is show up and enjoy the experience.

A: Yes! Your final gallery is tied to a store where you can order beautiful, professional, and archival prints, albums, artwork, and other keepsakes from your session!

A: Yes! While my studio is in Bound Brook, I love shooting on location throughout Somerset County and surrounding areas.
Q: Do I need experience posing for photos?
A: Not at all! I specialize in making clients feel natural and comfortable in front of the camera. Whether you’re a seasoned photo veteran or someone who hates having their picture taken, I’ve got you covered.
Q: How long until I receive my photos?
A: Within 3 weeks of your session you’ll receive a professionally edited viewing gallery where you can select your included digital images and use your print credit.
Q: Do you have a studio or do you shoot on location?
A: Both! I have a full-service portrait studio in Bound Brook, NJ as well as access to premiere outdoor locations throughout Somerset County. We’ll figure out the best fit for your session during our consultation.
Q: Do you photograph headshots?
A: Yes! In addition to family portrait sessions I offer really great professional headshots for individuals and businesses throughout the Somerset County area.
