Magical New Jersey Santa Sessions
Santa Sessions with April Ludwig Photography are magical sessions where your children can experience the magical joy of Santa on their own time! These sessions are more than just a quick visit with Santa – they are an exclusive experience. Your booking is a private 25-minute session in my studio in Bound Brook, NJ)
During the session your children are encouraged to interact with Santa and ask him every burning question they ever had. I will photograph the whole experience, along with getting photos of the children without Santa, and family photos too (if you so desire!).

This year at the North Pole, Santa noticed something magical — more children than ever were asking for teddy bears! But the elves have been working nonstop making gaming systems, tablets, and electric bikes… and they just couldn’t keep up with the teddy bear requests! Santa knew he needed help — and he knew just where to find it: Right here in New Jersey, where the kindest, most creative kids live. That’s why Santa is visiting April Ludwig’s Photography Studio — to make teddy bears with YOU!
But these aren’t ordinary bears. Teddy bears have the power to bring comfort, to calm big feelings, to remind someone they’re loved. Santa is asking each of his helpers to take their bear home, give it a big hug… and then think about someone who might need it even more. When you’re ready, give your teddy bear to that person — and pass on the magic of kindness and care. Because helping others is the greatest gift of all. 🎁 And of course, don’t forget about the cookies from Mrs. Claus!

Santa’s Reindeer Farm (w/ Santa in-studio **11/22 only**)
🎁 Introducing: Santa’s Reindeer Farm 🦌
This holiday season, something magical is happening… Santa’s making a second stop in New Jersey — and this time, he’s bringing along a reindeer friend! After a bumpy pre-Christmas test flight, a few of Santa’s reindeer needed some rest and recovery. So Santa brought one of his most trusted reindeer to a peaceful, snowy reindeer farm — right here in NJ! And he’s inviting your child to come help take care of him.
Santa’s Reindeer Farm Sessions
$525 Session Fee – 20 minute exclusive session with Santa
- A 20-minutes private session with Santa. You will be the only family in studio during your session
- A personalized invite from Santa to your child(ren) inviting them to visit Santa at the studio
- At least 25+ professionally edited Hi-Res Digital images for download from your online viewing gallery
- You child finds their name on the nice list
- Kids can personally deliver their letter to Santa
- “Feed” the reindeer w/ Santa
- A gift from the big red bag (generic or provide your own)

***NOTE: NO real reindeer will be at the session. Santa will be present durning this session. The reindeer are on the backdrop, and there is a faux reindeer present on set. Please see images to get an idea of the set and the reindeer.
Santa Session: FAQ‘s
Please book as far in advance as possible. There are many time sensitive things that need to take place prior to the session. Santa sends a personalized letter to the children inviting them to the session. Also, we coordinate a gift for Santa to give out of his big red bag.
Please click one of the “BOOK YOUR SESSION” buttons above. You will then pick an available time that best suits you. You will then select the session type, and select any add-ons. Once this is selected you will pay your $100 retainer fee and sign your contract. Only once your retainer fee is paid and your contract is signed will you be fully booked. You will have 24 hours from the selection of your time to complete these tasks. If this is not completed within 24 hours, your desired time will be available for other clients to book. Your session includes all of the deliverable hi-resolution digital downloads from your viewing gallery. Your viewing gallery will have at least 20 final images from your session. You will also receive a code for 20% off a la carte print items for purchase within your gallery store. Your discount can be used in the gallery store for keepsakes, art, albums, and prints. Special add-ons will be available for pre-purchase only at the time of booking
These optional add-ons are offered at time of booking only. Option to upgrade to these add-ons will not be available after your session

Your session is a full 25 minutes for the teddy bear workshop, and 20 minutes for the reindeer session. I kindly ask that you arrive at least 5-10 minutes early to ensure faces are wiped, clothes/shoes are on, and everyone is ready to be photographed at their designated time. No Additional time will be given for late arrivals and time will be deducted from your session. If a client is later than 15 minutes, their session is considered canceled, and their session retainer fee is forfeited. They may use their remaining session balance toward another session, and additional fees may be owed for a new session date.
Unfortunately, this can happen. However, I do provide my clients with a preparation guide to best prepare them for meeting the big guy! I will never force your child to interact with Santa, especially when they are visibly upset. I will not compromise the child’s well-being for a photograph. I will ask Santa to leave the session area and we will resume the session without him. No refunds will be given in this instance. Please consider booking a different session without Santa if your child is going through a period of stranger danger or has had adverse reactions to Santa or other costumed characters within the past 6 months or so (such as at Sesame place, Disney, etc. for instance).
If you cannot attend your session, you may sell or gift your seat to another family, or move to another available session date/time (if available). Please notify April Ludwig Photography via email within 72 hours before the session with any changes. Your retainer fee is non-refundable but can be used towards another session if at least 72 hours notice is given. Less than 72 hours’ notice and your retainer fee is forfeited
